Take A Stand Program by The Family Centre

On Monday, we had a group of wonderful workshops held at the School, facilitated by Jay, Tammie, Allan and Marlena from The Family Centre.

Take a Stand is a one-day program which builds students awareness and skills around core values, self-respect, responding to peer pressure, and setting personal boundaries. Students will explore the issues and challenges around friendships, relationships and alcohol and other substances.  Information was provided regarding avenues for support. Throughout the day, students make their commitments to ‘take a stand’ for healthy and respectful relationships.

Take a Stand aligns with National Curriculum (Health and Physical Education) and The Wellbeing Framework for Schools.

The program was delivered by The Family Centre with an understanding of and respect for Hare Krishna values and beliefs.
