Announcement Regarding 2020 End of Year Assembly

Dear Students, Parents and Staff,

While I am happy for the much-needed rainfall, it unfortunately means we will need to cancel this year’s final School Assembly on Monday.

Last night’s downpour has already raised the water well above the bridge to the farm, and the forecast for the next two days is as such that we may not be able to access the property for a few days.

While this has been a challenging year, our students, parents and staff have worked together to not only overcome the obstacles in their path, but thrive and grow in the face of adversity.

I would like to offer a very heart-felt thank you to our teachers and parents for assisting our students in adapting to changing learning environments, and a moment of recognition for our students in their commitment to actively showing support and compassion to their classmates.

While I may not be able to see you all tomorrow to showcase the wonderful achievements of our students this year, we will still be meeting this week to plan for 2021.

Our focus for the next year is a dynamic and creative learning environment, with plenty of in-class and off-campus opportunities to reconnect with each other, engage with nature and cultivate our spiritual growth.

With the new Secondary classrooms being built, the Primary classrooms being refurbished, and our dedicated new Facilities Manage Dibakar Prabhu refreshing the school campus for next year, I’m looking forward to welcoming you all back next year.

We will be mailing out the end of year certificates, along with an overview of our 2021 plans for each stage by the end of the week.

Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the students at the Bhaktivedanta Swami Gurukula for completing their studies during these unprecedented times, and wish all of our families a happy and safe holiday break.

Your servant,

Vinod Bihari das.

Please note, at this point the Primary Picnic is still scheduled to proceed at the Murwillumbah pool. We will update this information with more details on Monday morning.
